A hero is someone who knows right from wrong, and can always stand for justice. I can make connections because he sacrificed himself so his mother would get money to take care of rosa and thats something a true hero would do.
I would add that a hero is one who goes above and beyond for others and I sometimes think of role models and being heroes. I would agree Ashe was a hero to his mom and baby sister. I also think he is a hero to everyone living in America at that time. Do you think of soldiers as heroes? They put their life at risk to protect our country and/or what they are fighting for.
A hero is anything that lifted you up or helped you. When ash was with Angela he felt amazing. Angela is his hero, she and her mom helped ash and his mom when she was going through the divorce with her husband. Jaylen
I love that you thought of Angela as a hero because I agree, but didn't think about it until you made this great point. Do you feel anyone else from this book is a hero? I am thinking of someone else who may have been a hero to Ashe. Also maybe think about the soldiers.
A hero is someone who is willing to lay their life on the line for someone else. I can make connections. Ashe could be considered a hero for trying to keep his mother safe from his dad when things got rough.
There is another that I noticed. The veteran that was gardening with Ashe. He kinda helped Ashe along in a mentor sort of way. I think that having people to protect and the desire to do so is what helped him become a hero.
In this book the hero is Ashe mom.there are good and bad hero. I say is her mom because of her his life have end . She make him go away because she will be homeless. He pity her and join army for his love for his mom. she's a bad hero...
